A Telescopic Survey Pole That Is Easier to Carry

A full-length survey pole can be awkward to transport, especially when the survey team has several pieces of equipment to carry.

The 3016 Telescopic Survey Pole takes a different approach. It extends to 1.6 m for field use, but collapses to just 622 mm when it is time to pack up. At 0.58 kg, it is light enough to carry along with a GNSS receiver, controller and other survey accessories.

The pole has three telescopic sections. Each section is locked with a two-position handwheel. A small twist is enough to secure the section, so there is no need to spend time tightening multiple clamps.

The three sections measure Ø20 mm, Ø25 mm and Ø30 mm, giving the pole a stepped telescopic structure from the top section to the bottom section.

When collapsed, the 3016 measures 622 mm, which makes it easier to put into a backpack, equipment case or vehicle. The compact size is particularly useful for surveyors who work across multiple locations during the day.

The top uses a 5/8"-11 thread for compatible GNSS receivers and accessories.
